The unfinished head of Queen Nefertiti (1370-1330 BC), Great Royal Wife of Akhenaten, quarzite, from Tell el-Amarna. Now in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo.

Smenkhkare

was a short-lived pharaoh in the late 18th dynasty (Amarna period). Very little is known of this king for certain because later kings, beginning with Horemheb, sought to erase the entire Amarna Period from history.
