Core-formed glass cosmetic vessels
decorated by impressing heated glass rods of various colors to the body of the pre-heated vessel. Two are perfume flasks, the third a palm column kohl (eyepaint) container.
Although mass manufacture of glass began around 1500 BC, it remained a rare material used for luxury items. New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, ca. 1450-1336 BC. Now in the British Museum.
